“Untokose Dokkoisho” is produced by a confectionery maker Rokkatei in Obihiro city, Hokkaido.
Rokkatei has been producing popular Hokkaido omiyage.
“Untokose Dokkoisho” came out recently, with the blueberry flavor in July 2017, then the aoendou (green peas) flavor released in November 2017.
“Untokose Dokkoisho” is a shout to pull something heavy. Funny name, isn’t it?
Savory-flavored green peas paste filling is in the chewy dough.
Rokkatei suggests to toast it like a mochi, if the dough becomes too tough.
The one in the picture is a box of 4, and each piece is sold for 100 yen. Box of 6 is also available.
Everyone will like the mild taste. It’s a good choice for a gift.
You can purchase it at Rokkatei shops and Rokkatei official online store.
I’m always looking forward to what Rokkatei has to offer.
Speaking of green peas, “Tokachi Kawanishi Chiffon, a product sold during the fall season, is also made using plenty of green peas.
The lovely shape is like a small pancake.
The texture of the dough is chewy like that of mochi. An abundance of green pea paste inside gives a full flavor of the legume.
The dough and the filling make a perfect match!
I recommend you to toast it because the dough become more soft and savory.
It gives you power to pull anything heavy!
Be a Rokkatei lover or not, it’s worth giving it a try.
