Daichi no Shizuku

“Daichi no shizuku” is produced by an Obihiro-based company called Rokkattei in Hokkaido. Their signature “Marusei Butter Sand” and “Strawberry Chocolate” is one of popular omiyage in Hokkaido.

Rokkatei also makes seasonal confectioneries using seasonal ingredients.

“Daichi no Shizuku” is one of them, only available in summer at Rokkatei shops. Being a popular item, it often sells out around noon.

Fresh blueberries are coated by white chocolate. The sour berries and the sweet white chocolate make an awesome match.

Don’t miss it out on this rare item.

It is 480 yen for 70 gram.

Product Review

I took it out of the fridge, opened the lid, and there it was – full of pure white drops in the round box.

First came the crispy texture of the thin chocolate coating, followed by the sweet ‘n sour blueberry.

Although the berries are not fully ripe, they are so fresh that the juice gushes out as you were biting on a big whole grape.

The crispy texture of chocolate and freshness of the fruit is quite addictive. It would be also good to eat as a dessert.

If you come across this item during summer, it’s a must-buy!
